BLASTBALL

Also known as a version of Tee-ball around the rest of the country, Blastball is the lowest form of baseball. Miniature players hit a soft sponge-like ball from a tee, run to first (& only) base where upon it makes a whistling sound as it is stepped on. Yes, very cute...at least, for parents.
Wesley had the privilege of getting signed up for it and aspire to quit after the second practice. So being the perfect pick for mom-of-the-year, I threatened him to play or never leave the house again. Luckily, this worked and he ended up loving it. (I wouldn't try this at your home without sane supervision.) Here's Wesley as a Ranger and Laina trying to get in on the action.

LAINA'S 2nd BIRTHDAY

As you can see, my postings are far and few in between. Clearly this means they are more interesting to read! :)

I feel like I should step back and recount some of the past activities...all thirty-something years of them. Luckily for you, my memory has failed me so I can only recall the last 2 months.

Let's start with October 18th, Laina's 2nd birthday/Halloween party. I turned our garage into a Pumpkin Patch, lined with lots of activities for the kids including a bounce house (which my dear husband decide to purchase, thinking this will be a worthy investment), pumpkin decorating, necklace making, tattoo parlor, photo shoot and more. I think fun was had by all. Wesley is already asking for "a Halloween party in the garage" for his 4th birthday. I'm afraid we might have to disappoint him.

Here's a family shot...good pictures are not our style.

THE BEGINNING

This is the beginning of a new era for errors. Today I've become a blogger. Why would I want to commit myself to another daunting task that I will probably never complete or maintain? Because I want to keep my INSANITY.

I hope to keep you entertained with the happenings of the Schieggs. There shall be no bashing, name calling, taunting or profanity used on this blog...at least not on purpose. Feel free to do all this in your comments!

I also want to give a shout-out to my good friend, Jenny, whose birthday is today. Our blog now shares your birthday. Although you may think this is significant in some way, let me assure you that it's not. I just happened to have 10 minutes to spare...and so our blog is born.

For all other friends and family members whose birthdays I fail to acknowledge, here's a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, whether belated or upcoming. I hope this will suffice and will remain active for the next year or so.
